Andrew Brand is an award winning filmmaker based in the UK. His short films span a range of genre's from drama, horror, animation, and experimental documentary.
After studying Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University where he specialised in video installation, Andrew pursued a career in filmmaking. He has been commissioned multiple times by the UK Film Council for films including 'Things We Leave Behind' which received 2 nominations for 'Best Short', and 'Where There's Smoke' which won a 'Best Cinematography' award.
Most recently, Andrew was commissioned by Film4 to make 'What the Dog Saw' for their series 'A Moment Of Horror' and his latest animated short 'Relaxatron 5000' won the 'Click for Flicks' award at Clermont-Ferrand.
Currently Andrew is developing his debut feature film with long-term producer Zorana Piggott.
Alongside his filmmaking, Andrew is Co-Founder and Creative Director of Bad Studio; a design-lead motion design studio based in London and Norwich. Comprised of a group of creatives, Bad Studio strives to turn their passion for telling great stories into beautifully designed work.
