Andrew Brand is an award winning filmmaker based in the UK. His short films span a range of genre's from narrative fiction, horror, science fiction and documentary. 

After studying Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University where he specialised in video installation, Andrew pursued a career in filmmaking.  He has been commissioned multiple times by the UK Film Council for films including 'Things We Leave Behind' which received 2 nominations for 'Best Short', and 'Where There's Smoke' which won a 'Best Cinematography' award.  He has also been commissioned by Film4 to make 'What the Dog Saw' for their series 'A Moment Of Horror' and his animated short 'Relaxatron 5000' won the 'Click for Flicks' award at Clermont-Ferrand.

In 2022, Andrew co-directed a new animated short film entitled 'Buzz' with award winning filmmaker Bryn Chainey 'Buzz' was the animation category winner for the European Space Agency’s New Worlds initiative and has recently won the Mo Award (Special Mention) at the 25th Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg Mo&Friese.

Alongside his filmmaking, Andrew is Co-Founder and Creative Director of Bad Studio; an award winning, design-lead animation company based in London.
