Andrew Brand is an award winning filmmaker based in the UK. His short films span a range of genre's from narrative fiction, horror, science fiction and documentary. 

After studying Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University where he specialised in video installation, Andrew pursued a career in filmmaking.  He has been commissioned multiple times by the UK Film Council for films including 'Things We Leave Behind' which received 2 nominations for 'Best Short', and 'Where There's Smoke' which won a 'Best Cinematography' award.  He has also been commissioned by Film4 to make 'What the Dog Saw' for their series 'A Moment Of Horror' and his most recent animated short 'Relaxatron 5000' won the 'Click for Flicks' award at Clermont-Ferrand.

Currently, Andrew is developing a new animated short entitled 'Buzz' with award winning filmmaker Bryn Chainey.  'Buzz' was one of four winners at the 2021 Kaboom Animation Festival which will receive development support from the European Space Agency’s New Worlds initiative.

Alongside his filmmaking, Andrew is Co-Founder and Creative Director of Bad Studio; a design-lead animation studio based in London.
